Charity Computers accepts donations
of all IBM compatible computer equipment. It reuses
most equipment and/or recycles equipment at end of
life through approved recyclers.
The majority of our donations are donated
to local community groups and overseas charity organisations.
Some computers are sold locally to recover our costs
only.
How can I be sure
that all my data is removed from the computer?
Data Destruction
Guarantee
All computers donated have the hard drives wiped and
all information removed, using software and procedures
approved by the USA Dept of Defence and Microsoft
Australia. This is done to a standard where the
majority of the population cannot recover the data,
unless using specialist equipment.
